At Children’s Dentistry of Morristown we are proud of our state of the art equipment that allow us to better detect, diagnose, treat, and monitor oral conditions and diseases.
Digital radiography is a type of X-ray imaging that uses digital X-ray sensors to replace traditional photographic X-ray film, producing enhanced computer images. Digital radiography allows us to minimize radiation exposure. We also have the ability to take radiographs to check for cavities and other oral conditions without having anything in the mouth. This has proven beneficial to our patients with small mouths, gag reflexes, and special needs.
Spectra Caries Detection Aid uses fluorescence to detect caries in fissures and smooth surfaces that may go unnoticed in X-ray images. Early detection allows for less invasive treatment. Spectra also aids in ensuring that the entire cavity has been removed during treatment.
Intraoral Photography allows us to better communicate with patients and parents using pictures of their own teeth. We are also able to capture images to better help us treat and monitor oral conditions.
